Baby dedication, as a parent, is a powerful witness expressing the commitment to raise our children in the ways of God by regular church attendance, prayers, reading of the Bible, and above all, by being an example as a Christian.  It is important that a child, likewise a family, be anchored on the solid rock which is Christ Jesus our Lord.
